The San Antonio Scorpions are looking for a few good ambassadors — The Scorpions Girls — to help spread the exciting news about San Antonio’s new professional soccer team.
The 11 lucky ladies to be chosen by fans will act as Scorpions ‘Spokesmodels’ at special events throughout Greater San Antonio as the Scorpions move closer and closer to North American Soccer League competition, just one step removed from Major League Soccer.
A three-judge panel will interview candidates beginning at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Chango’s, 23535 IH 10 West (Leon Springs exit), and narrow the field down to 22 finalists. Chango’s Havana Club is a unique full service bar & cigar club that has a newly remodeled inside and a covered patio with a full-service bar. Scorpions Fans are encouraged to attend the event and Chango’s will be providing fans with Drink & Cigar Specials.
Two of the three judges will be Chris Duel and Jason Minnix of ESPN Radio 1250′s “The Zone” and the third judge will be selected through the Scorpions enter to win contest.
After the Oct. 26 interview session, fans can vote online at www.sanantonioscorpions.com for their favorite contestants among the 22 finalists until Monday, November 14. On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the Scorpions will formally present the 11 winners who have been voted by fans to be the Scorpions Girls “Starting 11.” Details as to time and place will be announced in the near future.
