I've been dreaming of having an MLS team in Alamo stadium since I used to practice soccer at Trinity University and run by the stadium every day during the summer. If SS&E is involved that is a great management move. They should consider backing an MLS team and even consider naming the soccer team the Spurs also, so they can take advantage of basketball teams branding.Good Luck, I think San Antonians would come around to soccer. Also S.A. gets a lot of well to do Mexican and South American tourists who would love to watch a soccer match.

This is a great idea. My brother and I used to annoy the neighbors with it by playing it in the back yard, and when they yelled at us over the fence we would hide behind trees and tell them that it was a moose!I really don't think it's necessary or true to say "We use noisemakers in America because we generally lack passion enough to produce organic noise from our own beings. And we’re generally too lazy to do much noise-making even if we have all the zeal in the world. So we rely on gimmicky noisemakers that allow us the ability to make “supportive” noise while eating nachos and drinking a 72oz soft drink."If you look at the American sports, I think you will find that while there is not a constant celebration like we find in Africa there certainly is energy, creativity, and excitement for their teams. Just not massive amounts for their soccer teams (sadly).

I too love the vuvuzela, and have since my mom bought me one when I was 15 at a soccer tournament in Dallas, Tx. 10 years ago.
